Please preregister by Sept 11. Although preregistration is not required, it would be greatly appreciated to get an idea of how many people to expect!

Second Annual Baltimore Photowalk

The Second Annual Baltimore Photowalk will be held Sunday, Sept 25 2011. The walk will run from 9am-12noon. Check in begins at 8:30am. We are meeting in front of the Daily Grind/Fell's Grind, on Thames, between Broadway and S Ann, in downtown Baltimore, Fell's Point.

to benefit the House of Ruth

This year's walk benefits the House of Ruth -- a domestic violence shelter right here in Baltimore. All money raised goes directly to them.

How does it work?

It's easy! Check in begins at 8:30am right in front of the Daily Grind/Fell's Grind in Fell's Point. We will start the walk at 9am. You can follow a set course, or you can go off on your own, it's up to you! We will meet back up at noon, and most likely go get lunch nearby to socialize and chimp (check out our images on the camera). The cost is minimal-- $20 to participate. This also covers 1 entry into the contest. Additional entries are $10.

Contest?

Yes! A contest makes everything more fun! Your entry donation covers 1 image submission, and each additional image you'd like to submit is $10. Email your entries-- sized for the web at 900 pixels on the longest side-- to walk@luxamoris.com by midnight on Oct 2, where they will be judged by a panel of professional photographers across the world. We have a fabulous prize pack for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners, kindly donated by some fabulous vendors. Please note the contest is not required-- you can certainly make your $20 donation and walk without needing to submit an image at all.

Do I need to be a professional photographer?

Oh, definitely not! This event is welcome to all. You don't even need a fancy camera. Point and shoots are great! Heck, even a camera phone would work, if you have the ability to email photos should you want to enter the contest.

Sound good?
